Where do you get the majority of your inspiration? And how does it impact you and your style?

I don’t limit my source of inspiration on one thing. I love to get it from everywhere and anywhere because even though this may sound so cliché, there is literally beauty in everything. Something as simple as scrolling through Instagram or Tumblr can deliver me numerous amounts of inspiration, enough to make me want to create a whole blog post or youtube video influenced by the images I see.

I also love to get inspiration from paintings, sculptures and architecture. Even the outfits from random people I encounter sparks style ideas. Because of this I think it has shaped my style to be quite eclectic.

When did you first get into fashion and how has your upbringing affected it?

I don’t think I can pinpoint a certain age or year that I got into fashion because it has always been such a huge part of my life. I have always enjoyed shopping with my mum and playing dress up. My love for fashion also influenced the games and toys that I played with. One example would be my obsession with Bratz (their Tagline was literally “passion for fashion”). I had the dolls, watches, headbands, sheet covers, video games……you name it!

How does the city you live in inspire you and your personal style?

Sometimes I felt scared to wear a certain outfit as I thought people would judge me. Admitting that makes me realize I was afraid to be my authentic self since my style is such a huge part of me. Now that I live in a new city, this has all changed. I live in a place where people are fashion forward and are not shy to try new trends or show off their true style.

Seeing this encourages and inspires me to be confident in what I wear and be experimental with my style. However, the real lesson my city has taught me is to not care what others think and focus on yourself.

What creative plans do you have for the future?

I’m going to continue to focus on my Youtube channel and blog making sure I am consistent in creating and posting fashion, (maybe) beauty and lifestyle content that I am truly proud of. I also have other directions I want to explore such as styling, acting etc. but I am still in the process of trying to find time for them.

Where do you get the majority of your inspiration? And how does it impact you and your style?

I get my inspiration from essentially everything around me. If I see something dope or beautiful it tends to spark something in me. My whole vibe is to try anything once and put my own spin on it regardless of if it fits with my personal style or not.

When did you first get into fashion and how has your upbringing affected it?

I first got into fashion when I was around 11, my dads girlfriend would always take me shopping and I would just watch her put outfits together and just fell in love with clothes. My whole family has always been big on style which definitely affected mine. My dad  was always looking super dope in a cool suit going to work or even just casual clothes.  My mom on the other hand had the best style in her 20’s and now some of her vintage designer pieces go missing when I’m around.

How does the city you live in inspire you and your personal style?

Living in Hollywood is a vibe. Every time I walk out of my building I get really inspired by the people and scenery around me. It is honestly is so easy to get inspiration in LA because you see something new every day.

What creative plans do you have for the future?

Right now I’m in the process of revamping my blog and YouTube channel. I want to make my website more “me”. For a long time I wanted to fit the mold but it’s exhausting and being yourself is the only move. Right now I’m working on a video about mental health and why I’ve been absent from YouTube and it will definitely be more of a visual poem and a totally different feel from my other videos.
